Life is just like driving...
Some people prefer to drive very slowly...they may not seem to get anywhere. They prefer to take things slowly and not willing to speed up their pace of life. They seem to be enjoying their slow pace of life and enjoy the scenery. However, due to their slowness of speed, they end up not able to see what they would have seen should they have driven faster. These people will miss out on what a whole life's journey could offer them.
Some people prefer to drive very fast despite the warning of penalties of speeding. They tend to lose control of the car under unforeseen circumstances. These people tend to crash a lot. They crash and burn. They drive too fast such that they couldn't enjoy the scenery because they know that at the speed they are driving at, they couldn't afford any mistake. Hence, they focus too much on the act of driving itself and miss out on the scenery and beauty that are offered to them on the journey.
I think that the best is to drive just up to the speed limit. Driving according to the rules that have been given to us will give us the optimal speed to get the best out the scenery.
Also, when you're driving, you have the option to put the car's gears to 'neutral gear'. Some people just choose to do that. They don't want to exert any energy and are just 'carefree'. The problem with this is that if the car is going down a hill, it'll over-accelerate. If it's going uphill, the car will actually be going backwards and sliding down the hill! If it's on a flat road, the car will just ground to a halt. Hence, we need to take time to reflect and take charge of our life...we just can't afford to let it go "auto-pilot". It will either get nowhere, get too fast, or go backwards..
